2018 Construction Update – [4] Classroom Pod
On February 19th, the construction began. It will take 24,000 bricks to build the walls, all of which were loaded onto the truck then into a pile on the SACU grounds by hand! There was also 150 bags of cement delivered and this will be mixed by hand in a wheelbarrow.
It is amazing how fast this will begin to look like the 4 classroom pod we have been waiting for.

2018 Boys Shelter Project
The boys shelter became a necessity when Ivan began the process of renewing our NGO (Non Governmental Organization) status. With a donation from a kind business man in Amherstburg, we were able to start the shelter. The committee did some fundraising to meet the budget of the building project. The boys and staff were thrilled when the boys could move in. New beds, pillows & sheets were purchased to make this a home for the boys who were alone & vulnerable without a family to care for them.
