new building for Day Care

Ann Isubah is beaming because of what has been provided for the youngest of children at SACU. One of our Ugandan Committee Members, William, has funded for a Day Care Center!

Head Teacher, Ann Isubah and Director Ivan Nsera send GRATITUDE to SACU’s Financial Advisor William along with the rest of the Committee Members. He has often BLESSED SACU on many occasions.

How did this happen?

Head Teacher, Anne

Well — William, noticed over time that Ann would consistently gather children under a shady tree and sing to them. Teacher Ann would teach the children songs and make sure they have something to eat before they head home. She uses her own earnings to fund for these children and provide for what they need. William was touched by Ann’s actions, watching her bring children to SACU grounds as young as two years of age.

As S.A.C Buikwe Director, Ivan Nsera explained, Teacher Ann would go out and seek those that were in the most difficult situations. Young children that were being left at home with siblings and hungry while their parents went off to work in the sugar cane plantation.  These children range from two to five years of age and are not yet registered with SACU. Many of these children will eventually enter our first year at SACU called “Baby Class” which is equivalent to our Junior Kindergarten classes.

In the past William has helped upgrade the shelter’s kitchen when it collapsed in a storm and made sure the students at SACU had easier access to our fresh water. He installed drinking fountains with purification water from Infact Water Company.

William also helped fund towards the architectural plan three years back and recently funded SACU’s fence project on the North side of SACU Grounds.
