Check out Ingrid, Cheryl, Rick and Kathy’s Uganda mission of 2019! They visited many villages & delivered basic needs to some of our families. All donations gathered tonight will be put into stocking up SACU with rice, beans & flour that will be distributed to the families of our SACU students.

Rice and beans, a staple for so many children in Uganda. With the threat of locusts arriving that would eat so much of the crops, we were able to stock up when we started this campaign. We had stored many bags of food to ensure we could at least keep our students fed. Then the COVID struck! Now all the schools are closed and the children are back at home, even the Secondary Students came home. When children are at school they are being fed giving them a clear mind, so the learning without the worry or depression that comes from hunger, stays in the past. Hoping that they will never again have to go hungry.

Remembering that Ivan chose the children from the most vulnerable families, they still have poor nutrition, small homes, no sanitation and very little income if any, and this is where they are today. Some of the grandparents are the guardians due to the loss of so many parents to AIDS, and they are aging & unable to work. Life is tough and saddening. In this current situation, do the children wonder if their lives will ever change? Was it just a quickly passing dream to go to school, make friends & be happy? The youngest who have been with us a matter of months or a couple years, may be thinking “what is my reality”?

Ivan & Ann are very strong people who believe in SACU and it’s success, they have unwavering faith and that is the driving force in keeping us motivated so that we might motivate others to lift up these children! Every child deserves to have food, protection, an education and access to medical care.
