Today I took a short ride from the hotel to see SACU, I am excited to finally see the children and the school in person. Since it is Saturday, there are no classes so the children are not dressed in their uniforms but casual clothes. They have come to school to spend the day practicing for the big celebration on Dec 1st. Here are pictures of the lane coming into SACU, the buildings and the children.
Once on the grounds we toured each building, how awesome it is to see everything I felt so welcomed and the children were very respectful and oh so sweet. They greet Ivan & Ann with such a warm smile, it is obvious they are so grateful to be part of SACU.
I had a few gifts to share with some children, my second bag was delayed, it stayed overnight in Amsterdam! More to come once I get back to SACU. The children were happy to receive the gifts. Nangoba, her red dress fit perfectly, Tusaba, what a beautiful smile and Winnie with her graduation gift. Thanks to Joyce & Bill and Sue.
The children greeted me with a little dance when I intruded on their celebration practice, I don’t think they minded. Look at those happy children!
